Graveside service for Mrs. Annie Loris Johnson Hairston will be conducted 12 Noon Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Sunset Memory Gardens, 2615 Alligator Rd., Effingham. Interment will follow, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC. Mrs. Hairston was born December 16, 1947, to the late Edna Mae Burroughs in Florence, South Carolina. She died on Sunday, October 20, 2019. Mrs. Hairston attended the Florence County Public Schools and was a proud Wilsonian of Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina. Mrs. Hairston moved to Winston Salem, North Carolina and matriculated back to Florence, South Carolina in 2009 to be with her family. Mrs. Hairston’s life career was a Culinary Art Professional. She enjoyed preparing food for others and for her family. Survivors include her three sons, Ernest Lee Johnson of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Sylvester Johnson of Washington State, and Michael Edward Johnson of Winston Salem, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Katie Jane Marie Johnson, Jayla Ariesel Lane, and Michael Edward Johnson, Jr.; two special cousins, Eugene Johnson and Delores Nettles both of Florence, South Carolina; a host of other relatives; and friends.
