Mr. Archie Lee “Dickie” Graves was born August 30, 1941 in Marion, South Carolina. Dickie, as he was affectionately called, was the son of the late Mr. Gaines Graves and Mrs. Everett Williams Graves. He peacefully entered into his eternal rest on Saturday morning, September 16, 2023.
Archie received his education in Marion County.
Archie was united in marriage to Mae Ola Shaw Graves, who preceded him in death.
At an early age, Archie joined Friendship African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Marion, South Carolina, his family’s home church, where he served as a member of the Choir.
Surviving to cherish the loving memories of Mr. Archie Lee "Dickie" Graves are a devoted sister, Celestine Bishop; a special nephew, Frederick Bishop; two sons, Archie Jerome Graves and Curtis Lee Graves; two daughters, Lisa Maxime and Kimberly Richardson; six sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and caring friends, who regret his passing.
