Florence - Funeral service for Mrs. Azalee Taylor McCall will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Pentecostal United Church of Christ Apostolic, 4430 Pamplico Highway, Florence, SC. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC. Mrs. Azalee “Sister” Taylor McCall was born March 15, 1934 in Florence County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Bill and Mamie Taylor. Azalee received her education in the Public Schools of Florence County. “Sister” as she was a6ectionately called was a retired housekeeper. Azalee was united in holy matrimony to the late Armstrong “String” McCall on January 24, 1950. Azalee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sons; seven brothers; and two sisters. Azalee leaves to cherish precious memories; one son, Armstrong McCall, Jr. of Florence, South Carolina; three daughters, Betty McCall and Ivory McCall both of Florence, South Carolina, and JaneWeight of Brooklyn, New York; four grandchildren, whom she raised in the home, Vicki McCall-Harpe of Augusta, Georgia, Anthony (Angie) McCall of Florence, South Carolina, Heather Woods of Columbia, South Carolina and Decola (Michael) James of Florence, South Carolina; and a host of other grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; nephews; nieces; other relatives; and friends.
