A Private Graveside Service for Deaconess Beatrice Echols Clinton will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, August 16, 2020 in Sunset Memory Gardens, 2615 Alligator Road, Effingham, South Carolina. Interment will follow, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.
Deaconess Beatrice Echols-Clinton of Florence, SC, transitioned into eternal paradise to be with the Lord on Friday August 7, 2020. She was born April 3, 1925 to the late Anthony and Ethel Peanut Echols.
She attended Florence County School Systems; retired as a Nursing Assistant of 25 years from Faith Nursing Home.
Deaconess Clinton joined the House of God Keith Dominion of Florence, SC in 1958, where she was a faithful servant, a warrior for the Lord and served on the Deaconess Board.
She was also known as grandma to ALL in her West Florence community. Mother Beatrice opened her home to whoever needed a resting place. She offered fortitude, spiritual guidance, security, morals and most of all love. One of her favorite aphorisms was “Looking and Feeling Good like a Lady Should”. Above all, Mother “B” was resilient in her faith and devoted to her family.
Deaconess Clinton was preceded in death by husband, James J.C. Clinton; 1 son, Charles Clinton; 6 siblings, Margaret Ashley, Lucille Jordan, Edna Mitchell, James Echols, Albert Echols, Nathaniel Echols, Levern Echols, Norbell Ashley and Mack Ashley. The family would like to acknowledge her great granddaughter, Cheyenne Morris and the late niece, Gwendolyn Mack that was dear to her heart.
She leaves to cherish her memory: 3 grandchildren: Charles L. Clinton, Sr. (Detrice), Charletta Glenn (Willie), and Flissa McEachern (Freddie); 11 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; a former daughter In Law, Doris Smith Clinton; 3 siblings, Uneedia Deas, Dorothy Thomas Phillips and Ethel Ashley Perry. In addition, she leaves a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends that she loved.
