Bonnie G. Scott

June 29, 1949 — February 11, 2025

Bonnie Gene Scott was born in Florence County, South Carolina on June 29, 1949, to the late Mary Louise Scott Cooper and the late Charlie Williams. 

Bonnie departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Carlyle Nursing Home. Bonnie was affectionately called “Bunny” and “Navy” by many friends and family. 

Bonnie was well known in the East Florence Community. His favorite place to go was Levy Park, where he participated in basketball, shooting pool and softball. He was the best rock thrower in East Florence.

Bonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise Scott Cooper and Charlie Williams; one brother, Billy Edward Scott; two sisters, Sarah F. Scott Lee and Cynthia Ann Cooper; and his favorite uncle, Willie Gene Scott.

Those left to cherish his memories are: two devoted sisters, Anna L. Cooper-Johnson and Annie M. Bailey; one brother, Charlie “Buddy” Williams, Jr.; one brother-in-love, Willie Coleman; one sister-in-love, Ruth Govan; and a host of relatives and friends
