Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC carefully considered this recommendation and ask that additional guest please participate via live-streaming if it is authorized by the family.

A Private Funeral Service for Ms. Brenda Lee Black will be conducted 12 Noon Friday, May 29, 2020 at J. O. & Annette Smith Memorial Chapel, 307 S. Johns St., Florence, SC. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.

Ms. Brenda Lee Black, the daughter of the late James Gillard and Emma Lee Black Ruffin was born on September 14, 1963, in Florence County. She departed this life on Monday, May 25, 2020, after an illness.

Brenda attended the Public Schools of Florence County.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, James Gillard and Emma Lee Black Ruffin; and a brother, Johnny Ray Black.

Brenda leaves to cherish her precious memories; a daughter, Lashariah Black, three sons, Lashawn Black, Latwan (Alayshia) Black, and Keionne (Latoya) Black; two sisters, Marilyn (David) Johnson and Lora Davis; three brothers, Ronnie Black, Charles Lucky, and Jody (September) Black; seven grandchildren, Marquise Black, Andre Bradley, Jr., Asia, Ariah, Nylei, Carlos, and Caysen Black; two special sons, Andre (Lucky) Bradley and Lavoris (Choc) Lane; and a host of many family members; loved ones; and friends.
