On February 9, 1955, God gave life to Camie Diane by rout of her beloved birth mother, Virginia Hennigan. Personal situations later directed her legal and loving care to relatives, Reverend Arthur and Leona Sellers. Becoming a part of this household, provided not only physical care, but a wonderful and lasting religious background. She became daughter number three, and a part of the sibling group of Ida and Arthurine Sellers.
Camie was a smart and intelligent young lady who was dependable at whatever job to which she was directed. She graduated in 1972, from Wilson High School. Her marriage later to Jerry Brockington produced a special and caring daughter, Jeri “Gigi” Brockington, whom she loved and always talked about. Gigi blessed her with two grandsons, Darius and Dominique.
She cherished her work and involvement in her church’s different organizations to which she belonged, Majority Missionary Baptist Church.
Cami was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Hennigan; her loving and caring relatives, Reverend Arthur & Leona Sellers and two sisters, Rigshanah “Lucille” Griffin and Martha Legette.
Mrs. Camie Diane Brockington will be missed by many, but her memory will live on by a daughter, Jeri “Gigi” Brockington; two grandsons, Darius and Dominique; three great grandchildren, Andrea Dukes, Dominique M. Brockington and Imani M. Brockington; four brothers, David (Carolyn) Small, Levern (Jamie) Alls, Donald Smalls and Kenneth Hennigan; two sisters, Arthurine (Paris) Sealey and Ida S. King; two special friends, Deacon Jerome and Deaconess Deloris Brooks; and an extended church family, Majority Missionary Baptist Church Family.
Please keep the family of Camie Dianne Sellers Brockington in your thoughts and prayers.
