Mr. Carlton Demetrius “Raboo” Brooks was born October 15, 1972 to the late Gretha Brooks and Charlie Singletary. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. 

Carlton attended McLaurin Elementary School and was a Class of 1992 South Florence High School graduate. 

Carlton enlisted in the United States Navy following graduation and received and honorable discharge after serving four years.

Carlton married the love of his life, Christina on January 7, 2014.

At the time of his demise, Carlton was employed with QVC as the Shipping and Receiving  Manager. 

Carlton was a well-mannered, kind hearted loving young man that loved his video games and cooking. He loved his wife, Christina and his family, especially little “JuJu” that call him, “Papa”, his siblings, and other family members. 

Carlton was preceded in death b y his parents, Gretha Campbell and Charlie Singletary; his paternal grandparents, Alma Gibson and Monroe Singletary; and his maternal grandparents, Leona Brooks and Garfield Brooks.

Carlton leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Christina Brooks of the home; a stepson, Tristian Williams; a stepdaughter, Nekesha Williams; one grandson, Amir Williams better known as “JuJu”; a stepmother, Jannie Mae Singletary of Olanta, South Carolina; two sisters, Sharon Campbell of Florence, South Carolina and Jeanette Pringle of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two brothers, Gregory Campbell of Florence, South Carolina and Chalmus Carson of Lake City, South Carolina; eight sisters-in-law, Ann Ham of Florence, South Carolina, Veronica Pinkston of Florence, South Carolina, Dorothy Robinson of Charleston, South Carolina,  Carolyn Robinson of Florence, South Carolina, Verna Davis of Florence, South Carolina, Wanda Green of Florence, South Carolina, Temeka Timmons of Florence, South Carolina, and Stacey Milling of Florence, South Carolina; four specials nephews and nieces, Makhi, Deontre, Sharita, and Shyonna; one uncle, Vance Brooks of Florence, South Carolina; five aunts, Reverend Elma Galbreath, Rosa Singletary, Vera White, Eileen Singletary, Joyce McElveen all of  Florence, South Carolina; a special cousin, Latisha Nay Gregg; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends
