Cornell White

Mr. Cornell White, the son of the late Boyd White Jr. and the late Christine Hines Stinney, was born October 19, 1951, in Marion, South Carolina. Cornell passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. 

 

Cornell was a very faithful and active member of Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Florence, South Carolina. He served as a doorkeeper with the Usher Board and was a member of the Sons of Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church Men in Ministry. 

 

Cornell was a Wilson High School Class of 1969 graduate. Upon completion of graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps. After serving his country, Cornell relocated to Florence, South Carolina where he became employed with Wallace Skins and later retired. 

 

Cornell White will be forever and always remembered as our "loving brother" and an avid "Dallas Cowboy" football fan. 

 

Cornell leaves to cherish his memories: four sisters, Shirley Johnson and Moscella White both of Florence, South Carolina, Eurice (James) Moore of Forestville, Maryland and KristeAnn (Quinton) Wilson of Darlington, South Carolina; two brothers, Tony O. Dorsey and Febbit (Betty) Dorsey both of Florence, South Carolina; four stepsisters, Ella McPhatter and Rosana (Rudolph) Hennigin both of Florence, South Carolina, Gertie (Isaac) Brown and Hazel Stinney both of Elmont, New York; three aunts; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives, extended church families and friends
