The Legacy of a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother was born March 19, 1957, to the late James and Louise Phillips. Diana, 64, the wife of the late Chester Brown, departed this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022, after an illness.
She received her formal education in the Public School System in Darlington, South Carolina.
She was a vibrant person and always full of life, love and laughter. Diana enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, James and Louise Phillips; her husband, Chester Brown Sr.; her son, Chester Brown Jr.; and her daughter Tasha Brown.
Mrs. Diana Phillips Brown leaves with us to cherish her Legacy; four grandchildren Antwain Jones, Rashon Brown, and Destiny Brown all of Atlanta, Georgia and Chester Brown of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; five sisters Ruby Phillips of Decatur, Georgia, Martha (Tommy) McCall of Hartsville, South Carolina, Lorraine Davis of Darlington, South Carolina, Darlene (Danny) James of Florence, South Carolina, and Goldie Williams of Hartsville, South Carolina; three brothers Levern Phillips of Darlington, South Carolina, James Phillips of Decatur, Georgia and Tommie (Delores) Johnson of Darlington, South Carolina; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
