Ms. Dinah Lee McCutcheon Widder
She was born Dinah Lee McCutcheon on February 20, 1941 in Lake City, South Carolina to the late Kenneth and Geneva McCutcheon. She departed this life on Friday, January 21, 2022 after a long illness.
She was a 1958 graduate of Carver High School in Lake City, South Carolina.
Upon graduation, Dinah relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended Temple University and graduated with a Business Management Degree.
Dinah joined in marriage to the late Nathaniel E. Widder, and this union produced four children.
Dinah was employed with South Carolina Highway Patrol Division in Florence, South Carolina for several years before retiring.
Dinah was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Geneva McCutcheon; husband, Nathaniel E. Widder; two sisters, Evelyn McCutcheon and Delaine “Dee” Henderson; a brother, LaVance McCutcheon; a son-in-law, Arthur Wanzer; and a grandson, Jeremy J. Howard.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: four children, Blake J. Widder (Orbree), She’ri L. Widder, Jale St. John Brown, and Zorro T. Wanzer; 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Taylor, Dinah, Natalie, Tierra, Tiffany, Paige, Stephen, Krisstoff, Blake, Keizer and Angela; 20 great grandchildren; one sister, Lillie Katherine McCutcheon Daniels; one sister-in-law, Grace McCutcheon; four special friends, Sarah Monroe (affectionately called Aunt Sarah), Pat Martin (affectionately called Sister Friend), Janice Howard and Sheila Nesmith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers.
