Geraldine Waiters

Ms. Geraldine Waiters the daughter of the late Allen Waiters and Hester Ethel Bailey Waiters was born October 15, 1933 in Florence, South Carolina. She answered the Master’s call to eternal rest on Sunday, July 4, 2021.

At an early age, Geraldine gave her life to Christ at Salem United

Methodist Church located in Claussen Community. She was a lifelong faithful member of the Salem United Methodist Church, enjoyed singing on the choir, and attending Bible Study. In accordance with her gifts, Geraldine was an active member of the United Methodist Women, and an active member of the Usher Board, until her health declined.

Geraldine was educated in Florence County Public School System. After finishing her studies she spent her life dedicated to the care of her elderly mother.
Geraldine enjoyed connecting with family and friends, cooking, and playing the piano.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Waiters and Hester Ethel Bailey Waiters; and four brothers, John (Margaret),Marion, Ernest and
Osie Lee Waiters.

Geraldine’s precious memories will always be remembered by her family: her sister, Pearline Waiters Jordan of Florence, South Carolina, two sisters-in- law, Delores Waiters and Doris Waiters both of Hampton, Virginia; four nephews, Woodrow Waiters of Florence, South Carolina, Glenn (Lisa) Waiters, David Waiters, and Daniel (Julia) Waiters all of Hampton, Virginia; two nieces, Sherry Jordan of Greenville, South Carolina and Mona (Mark) Dozier of Hampton, Virginia; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and church family.
