Ms. Laura A. Black, the daughter of the late Barbara Jean Black and the late Leo Eaddy and reared by her grandmother, the late Annie Laura Black was born October 8, 1971, in Florence, South Carolina. Laura, at the age of 52, passed away peacefully at McLeod Regional Hospital in Florence, South Carolina, on Monday, November 27, 2023.
At an early age, Laura joined New Ebenezer Baptist Church, in Florence, South Carolina and was a faithful member until her health declined.
Laura attended the Florence Public Schools of Florence, South Carolina and was a proud Class of 1989 Wilson High School graduate.
Laura a loving mother, grandmother and friend was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents; Barbara Jean Black and Leo Eaddy; both grandmothers, Annie Laura Black, who raised her and Ruby Lee Eaddy; seven uncles; and one aunt.
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving sons, Michael Black, Quinton (Jasmine) Black and Brenton Black all of Florence, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Michaela, Jah’heim, Zy’anna, Quinton, Jr., Royal, JaCarri, King and Josiah; one brother, Thomas (Shurrie) Marks; one sister, Shelia (Kevin) Coker; seven uncles, Lawrence Black, James Black, Ernest (Patricia) Black, Robert Eaddy, Pastor Lewis Allen (Apostle Carla) Eaddy all of Florence, South Carolina; one aunt, Mary Eaddy of Florence, South Carolina; a special nephew and caregiver, Javar Black of Florence, South Carolina; a special niece and caregiver, Marisha Black; five nieces and nephews; three special friends, Carolyn Woodham, Lynn Murray and Joyce Kriven; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
