Ms. Lelia Mae Wright, the daughter of the late Nathan Wright, Sr. and the late Elouise Jordan Wright was born January 22, 1951, in Darlington, South Carolina. She was called to eternal rest on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
As a baby, Lelia’s family, moved to Spokane, Washington in August 1951, traveling with her father as he served his country. Later the family relocated to Orlando, Florida and attended Tangelo Baptist Church. After relocating to Darlington, South Carolina, the family rejoined Providence United Methodist Church in Darlington, South Carolina.
Lelia was an avid lover of Pepsi Cola, stuff animals, dolls and watching games shows on television.
Lelia was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Nathan Wright, Jr., Nathaniel Douglas Wright and Lonnie Jordan Wright; and a sister, Virginia Marie Wright-Thompson.
Survivors include a dedicated and devoted sister-in-law, Edna Robinson-Wright; one nephew, Christopher Wright of Killeen, Texas; two nieces, Jovanne Wright of Florence, South Carolina and Ebony Wright of Quinby, South Carolina; five great nieces and great nephews; three great-great nieces and great-great nephews; two aunts; Rebecca Wright Young of Manhattan, New York and Ruby Smith of Willingboro, New Jersey; two uncles, a very caring and supportive uncle and aunt, Frank (Louise) Jordan of Darlington, South Carolina and Norman, Jr. (Brenda) Jordan of Snellville, Georgia; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
