Private Funeral service for Master Jaxson Michael-Anthony Ham will be conducted 12 Noon Saturday, June 27, 2020 at J. O. & Annette Smith Memorial Chapel, 307 S. Johns St., Florence, SC. Interment will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.

Jaxson Michael-Anthony Ham was born on December 23, 2013 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. He traveled home to God on June 20, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. He was a beloved only child. Jaxson primarily resided in Orlando, Florida, but frequented his mother’s hometown of Florence, South Carolina. He was a rising first grader at Renaissance Charter School at Boggy Creek in Kissimmee, Florida, where his favorite subjects were math, science, music, and art. Jaxson completed his pre-kindergarten studies at Building Brains Academy, where he became proficient in Spanish and French. Jaxson was an admired student at both schools by classmates and teachers. Jaxson was an avid martial arts student. He attained his orange belt at 1Up Martial Arts and continued his studies at Championship Martial Arts.

Jaxson assisted his aunt, Reverend Martha Frazier, at the soup kitchen at Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Florence, South Carolina, where he touched many hearts. Jaxson’s smile spread sunshine wherever he went. He connected with multiple groups of people including his Westgate family, Spirit Airlines family, Frontier Airlines family, and his Southwest Airline family. Jaxson loved to travel whether it be by car, train, or plane. His favorite times were flying with his mother to work. Jaxson loved wearing his Southwest hat and lanyard with wherever he went. Jaxson traveled many places including Minneapolis, San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, New Orleans, Washington DC, Baltimore, and New York City to name a few.

Jaxson loved to play with everything from toys to games. His favorite toys are Alex the Lion, Shazam, Pikachu, and Dino Trucks. Jaxson loved playing Monopoly, Dominos, and Connect Four. His favorite foods were pizza with tomatoes, tacos with pico de Gallo, and shrimp salad with avocados. Jaxson loved all water activities including the beach, pool, and going to aquariums. Jaxson loved music the most and enjoyed making his own songs and playing instruments at home such as the guitar, piano, and trumpet. Jaxson never knew a stranger and loved meeting new people in every journey he took. His life was one big flight of love that we all were blessed to be aboard to experience.

Jaxson will be joining in heaven his great grandparents, Montell McDaniels, J.C. Frazier, Ella Hughes, and William Ryan; great aunt and uncles, Burnella Hughes, Ernest Frazier, and Julius Frazier; great-great uncle, Preston Ham; and great-great grandmothers, Francis Joynes, Thelma Rivers, and Jessie Gee.

Jaxson will be watching over his parents, Meghan Ham and Duren Williams; grandparents, Anthony and Jessie Ham; aunts and uncle, Reverend Martha Frazier, Manson Frazier, and Monya Rutland; great uncle, Albert Ham; and godmother, Shameka Long. Jaxson’s extended family includes his sky aunts; uncles; cousins; god aunts; god uncles; friends; and international relatives.
