Funeral Service for Mr. Michael Timothy Hines, Sr. will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at J. O. & Annette Smith Memorial Chapel, 307 South Johns Street, Florence, South Carolina. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.
Mr. Michael Timothy Hines, Sr. was born to Reverend Mack T. Hines, Jr. and Gladys Jackson Hines on Sunday, April 18, 1976 in Florence, South Carolina.
Michael was the second son raised in Florence, South Carolina, graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1994.
He attended Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina, worked at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina, and Honda of South Carolina in Timmonsville, South Carolina.
He was member of Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Mullins, South Carolina, under the leadership of his father, Reverend Dr. Mack T. Hines, Jr., where he sung on the Male Chorus.
Michael was a quiet loving young man. He loved his son, Michael Hines, Jr. and was very close to his mother, Gladys, whom he shared many intimate moments.
Michael is survived by his son, Michael T. Hines, II, his parents; two brothers, Mack T. Hines, III. (Kathryn) and Gregory Hines (Renita); his Granny, Susana Hines; a niece, Aiyana Hines; a nephew, Nycere Hines; two aunts, Susie Cannon and Bettie McNeil (Phillip); two uncles, Roosevelt Dudley (Judy) of Elizabethtown, North Carolina and Samson Hines of Florence, South Carolina; four sisters, Mya Gunter, Nsombia Gunter, Sharima Gunter, and Niambi Lacy (Jermain); and a host of cousins and friends.
Public viewing will be held 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Friday, January 22, 2021 at J.O. & Annette Smith Memorial Chapel, 307 South Johns Street, Florence, South Carolina, 29506.
