Florence – Funeral service for Ms. Minnie Ola “Bunny” Timmons will be conducted 12 Noon, Thursday, May 16, 2019 at J. O. & Annette Smith Memorial Chapel, 307 S. Johns St., Florence. Interment will follow in Carter’s Cemetery directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC. Minnie known to many as “Bunny” was born August 26, 1949 in Florence, SC to the late Allen and Gladys Davis Timmons. She died on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Minnie was a graduate of Wilson High School Class of 1968. Minnie attended Goodland AME Church in Effingham, SC. Minnie was employed with Piggly Wiggly in Florence, SC. After relocating to Miami, Florida she became the Manager of Crown Heights Grocery Store. Survivors include her son, Quinones Torres (Patrice) Timmons; three grandchildren, Toya Ervin, Shylanna McCormick and Rodney McCormick; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille “Wink”2 Johnson and Joan Timmons; one uncle, Brother David L. Tillman; one aunt, Rosa Bell King; one sister-in-law, Mae Frances Keith Timmons; a host of nephews; great nephews; nieces; great nieces; cousins; other relatives; and friends.
