Myra J. Thomas

Mrs. Myra Faye Johnson Thomas was born on April 24, 1979 in Florence South Carolina to JoAnn Johnson Rogers and Willie Gurley. She transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Florence, South Carolina.

 Myra received her formal education in the Public Schools of Florence, SC. She was a graduate of West Florence High School, Class of 1997.

She was employed with Ruiz Foods before her health declined and no longer allowed her to work.

Myra was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Willie Mae Douglas and Andrew Douglas; paternal grandparents, France Gurley and Albert Gurley; aunt, Emma Brown; uncle, John Johnson; one special cousin, Jamie Johnson.

 Survivors to cherished her fond memories is her loving husband of 25 years, Tyrone Thomas Sr.; three beloved sons; Tyquan Thomas, Tyrone Thomas. and Tymir Thomas; her mother, JoAnn (Mike) Rogers; father, Willie Gurley; one brother, Willie Nathaniel Johnson, Jr.; two sisters, Willisha Ann Johnson and Quasheema Simpson; one granddaughter, Zyriah Thomas; one special sister, Kelly James; and a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends

 Myra was a cherished mom, sister friend and aunt who brought so much joy in our lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family.
