Mr. Randy Edwards “Moon” Black was born on June 25, 1963, in Florence, South Carolina to Lawrence Black, Sr. and the late Emma Holloway. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 9, 2023, to be home with His Lord and Savior. Randy received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where there is no sadness or tears.

Randy was a member of Mount Sinai Holiness Church in Florence, South Carolina, where he received Christ in his life and was baptized on June 9, 2023.

Randy attended Timmonsville High School, in Timmonsville, South Carolina, later joined the United States Marine Corps and relocated to Florence, South Carolina, after serving his country.

Randy, a loving father, brother, uncle and cousin enjoyed spending time with his family.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Holloway; grandparents, Bossie and Jessie Lee Morris; and a sister, Lisa Black Young.

Randy left to cherish his precious memories: two children, Latoria McFadden and Ranisha Black; three grandchildren, Ianna, Ka’ more and Travis; siblings, Lawrence (Cheri) Black, Jr., Lonnie Black, Mark Black, Betsy Black, Pauline Black (Gary) Frierson, Geraldine Black Johnson, Roderickus Quillens, and Charles Quillens; twenty-two nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
