Mr. Robert Solomon “Rob” Hart was born July 2, 1931, in Hoffman, North Carolina, to the late Solomon and Alma Hart. He entered into his eternal resting place on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the home of his granddaughter and grandson-in-law in Hartsville, South Carolina.
Robert who was called “Rob” received his formal education in North Carolina Public Schools System.
Robert married the late Emma Grace English Hart and to this union one child was born.
Robert was a loving caring honest and no-nonsense kind of guy. My Granddad loved his family; children; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; with everlasting love. He did not just talk about his love for them, he showed them. Robert enjoyed fishing; hunting; carpenter work; he could restore almost anything; and he loved laughter.
Robert was a farmer (Dargan Farm) for many years. As Robert’s health declined, he relocated to Hartsville, South Carolina to live with his granddaughter, Emma Jean (Kevin) Johnson.
Robert leaves to cherish his precious memories: a special friend, caregiver for over twenty-seven years and companion, Gloria Harkless of the home; an loving adopted son, Robert Lee Hart of Sumter, South Carolina; a brother, Joe Lewis (Betty) Hart of Washington, District of Columbia; a loving granddaughter, Emma Jean (Kevin) Johnson of Hartsville, South Carolina; one loving grandson, Calvin Lorenzo English of Hartsville, South Carolina; four loving great grandchildren, Tajh Black, Asiah (Kem) Muhammad, Alena Hart and Dominic Washington all of Florence, South Carolina; four loving great great-grandchildren, King Howard Muhammad, Hallie Muhammad, Grace Muhammad, and Macey Muhammad all of Florence, South Carolina; a step-daughter, Belinda (Rachell) Timmons of Florence, South Carolina; two special grandchildren that he loved so dear, Bryton Timmons and Melody Timmons both of Florence, South Carolina; a niece-in-law, Sandy Swann of Washington, District of Columbia; and a host of nephews; nieces, which includes a special niece, whom he raised, Recia (John) Penn of Washington, District of Columbia; other relatives; and friends.
The family will receive friends at 1336 Mechanicsville Hwy., Darlington.
