Shalanda McElveen

Shalanda Yvette McElveen was born on January 9, 1979, in Florence, SC to Otis and Nora McElveen. Shalanda departed this earthly life on January 12, 2022.

She was educated in the public schools of Florence County School District Two graduating from Hannah- Pamplico High Class of 1997.

She furthered her education at Medical University of South Carolina graduated with a Bachelor of Science - Nursing degree. She later obtained her Master of Science in Nursing - Education degree from Phoenix University. Over her years of employment, she worked at several health organizations and last worked at Florence-Darlington Technical College as a Nursing Instructor.

She was a proud USC Gamecocks fan.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clyde and Mary Sheppard; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Selena McElveen; sister, Doris McElveen Packer and brother, Anthony “Tony” McElveen.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving parents, Otis and Nora McElveen of Pamplico, SC; one brother, Corey (Angela) McElveen of Florence, SC; one sister, LaTonya Sheppard of Marion, SC; one sister-in-law, Shelia McElveen of Rock Hill, SC and a host of aunts, uncles, God-sisters, God-brothers, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
