She was educated in Jamaica at Shortwood Primary School and graduated from Trenchtown Comprehensive High School . Stacy's journey with education began as she graduated from Mico Teachers College in Jamaica, a Masters of Education from American College of Education, and one semester from completing the PHD Program with the American College of Education.

On many occasions, she would prepare meals for her students who were preparing for their external exit examinations in Jamaica (Holy Trinity High School), and invite them to an all day mathematics class free of charge.

Additionally she held in high esteem her work colleagues both from her time in Jamaica and also since being here in South Carolina. From time to time, she would invite them to her home for some social time away from work for food and fellowship, because she understood how much a teacher's job can challenge one emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Her life was centered around her family, especially her children, church (The Assembly) where she continued her Christian Walk and Education being her threshold of life.

Her sport of choice was Tennis where she was an instructor for many years. She believed in structure and keeping a strong family relationship regardless of the distance. She loved her family.
