Mr. Travis Lavelle Hyman, 55, of Pamplico, South Carolina transitioned on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, following a brief illness at MUSC of Florence. He was the son of the late Thomas Loney & Eugenia Kennedy Hyman also of Pamplico.
Travis was a member of Mill Branch African Methodist Episcopal Church. He was affiliated with Mill Branch Masonic Lodge #231, former member of McDonald Consistory #226, and former member of Bejilah Temple #163.
Travis was the 1985 Salutatorian of the graduating class of Hannah-Pamplico High School and a 1989 honor graduate of Clemson University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.
For 30 years Mr. Hyman was employed with Nan-YA Plastics of Lake City, South Carolina. In this role he supervised the daily STEM operations of the company’s Lake City site as well as traveled internationally to negotiate, strategize and plan innovative STEM growth with the company’s top executives.
He is survived in life and love by a special cousin, Carlton Raynard Timmons of Pamplico, SC; maternal aunt, Neverseen Kennedy Hines of Florence, SC; godparents, Mr. & Mrs. Randolph and Carlene Timmons of Pamplico; stepsister, Vineather Timmons-Ellis of Florence, SC, two bonus daughters, Reva and Mignon Cooper of Florence, SC; granddaughters, nieces, nephews and a loving host of family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 5 PM- 8 PM daily at 1936 N. Old River Rd., Pamplico
