William Boone

Mr. William J. Boone was born April 22, 1932, in Sumter, South Carolina, the son of the late Willie Boone and Irene Boone.

“Boone” as he was affectionately called and his late wife, Girlena White Boone were employed by the United States Postal Service in Bronx, New York, where they retired together in 1999.

Mr. William Boone accepted the Lord as his Savior as a child, but after relocating to Florence, South Carolina, he attended Salem United Methodist Church in Florence, South Carolina.

Prior to our Lord and Savior calling Boone home Sunday, January 2, 2022, He called Boone’s wife, Girlena White Boone; a daughter, Nancy Stephenson; and three sons, Terrell Boone, Gregory Boone, and Gary Boone,

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Janis Murdock, William Boone, Pamela Gray, Kennen Boone, Samuel Walker (Cindy), and Ronnette Walker; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Smart; two nieces, Sheila Smart and Joyce Smart; and a nephew, Robert Smart; and a host of other relatives.
